Borussia Dortmund vs Ulsan HD predictions

Sitting behind Fluminense on goal difference with one game remaining, Borussia Dortmund  will be looking to hit already-eliminated Ulsan hard in Cincinnati as they look to secure top spot in Group F. 

BVB edged a 4-3 thriller with Mamelodi Sundowns in their last game and it would be no surprise to see them rack up more goals against Ulsan, who shipped four in their fate-sealing defeat to Fluminense and are without a win in four games. 

The appointment of Niko Kovac has proved effective and the Croatian manager has fixed a misfiring attack. Serhou Guirassy, Julian Brandt and Karim Adeyemi have all thrived under Kovac and new signing Jobe Bellingham opened his account against Sundowns to show what he can add to an already frightening attack. 

The thriller against Mamelodi means ten of Dortmund’s last 12 matches have featured at least four goals and given they need to make up a goal-difference swing on Flu to finish top, assuming the Brazilians beat Sundowns, they are sure to go on the front foot at the TQL Stadium. 

They will need to tighten up at the back if they are to go deep at the Club World Cup, though. Dortmund gave up 16 shots against minnows Mamelodi and 14 to Fluminense - recording fewer attempts at goal than their opponents in both of those games - but that may be an issue for Kovac to fix between this clash and a last-16 tie, potentially opening the door for Ulsan to get on the scoresheet. 

The South Koreans scored  twice in their loss to Fluminense, highlighting their attacking threat. Backing both teams to score could be one approach but it is also worth noting that Ulsan allowed Flu to rack up 25 shots, suggesting sticking with over 3.5 goals and a Dortmund win - which would be their eighth in nine outings - is a safer bet.
