Mamelodi Sundowns vs Fluminense predictions

There was a cagey start to Group F of the Club World Cup as Fluminense shared a goalless draw with Borussia Dortmund and Mamelodi Sundowns beat Ulsan HD 1-0 on matchday one.

However, the section burst into life on matchday two and Fluminense can seal their place in the round of 16 with a win over the Sundowns.

Backing the Brazilians to win and both teams to score looks a tempting bet after they defeated Ulsan 4-2 in their second group game.

They had caught the eye in their opening stalemate against BVB, firing in 14 shots to their opponents' seven, but Mamelodi Sundowns also carry a goal threat.

The South African champions were good value for their win over Ulsan, which was sealed by a first-half goal from striker Iqraam Rayners.

Star man Lucas Ribeiro gave the Sundowns a shock lead against BVB, who roared back to make it 4-1 before Rayners and Lebo Mothiba scored to ensure a tense final few minutes for the Bundesliga giants.

Dortmund are hot favourites to beat Ulsan so the Sundowns will probably need to win in order to qualify for the round of 16. They can get on the scoresheet again but are likely to offer plenty of chances to an impressive Fluminense side who were runners-up at the 2023 Club World Cup.
