Derby rematch moves closer as Epsom 1-2-3 are all confirmed for Sunday's Irish equivalent at the Curragh

The first three home in the Betfred Derby moved a step closer to a rematch with Lambourn, Lazy Griff and Tennessee Stud all named among ten confirmations for Sunday's Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby (4.10) at the Curragh.
The 64 entries for the €1.25 million Classic where whittled down to ten on Tuesday and Lambourn will bid to provide his trainer Aidan O'Brien with a record-extending 17th win in the race.
O'Brien has been responsible for the last two winners in Auguste Rodin and Los Angeles and Lambourn will aim to confirm his three and three-quarter length Epsom superiority over Lazy Griff. However, Lambourn's only victory from three starts in Ireland came when making a successful debut at Killarney last July and he finished last of five in the Beresford Stakes on his sole previous start at this track.

The Joseph O'Brien-trained Tennessee Stud was seven lengths ahead of Lambourn in that Curragh Group 2 last September before the form was reversed at Epsom. Aidan O'Brien has half of the potential field left in the race with Puppet Master — a non-runner in last Friday's King Edward VII Stakes — King George V Stakes runner-up Serious Contender, Queen's Vase fourth Shackleton and Thrice all still in contention.
Pride Of Arras was sent off the 4-1 second favourite for the Derby after winning the Group 2 Dante Stakes at York but beat only one of his 17 rivals. Ralph Beckett's son of New Bay will get the chance to make amends in a race his trainer won with Westover in 2022.
Beckett could also run Sir Dinadan, who chased home subsequent Royal Ascot-winning stablemate Amiloc in the Listed Cocked Hat Stakes at Goodwood last month. Sir Dinadan's owner Marc Chan also has the prospect of his 2,000 Guineas sixth Green Impact running over a mile and a half for the first time after winning the 1m1f Listed Glencairn Stakes.
