Marc Guehi latest transfer odds: Champions could make a move for England defender
Marc Guehi has shone for England and Crystal Palace over the past few years. We look at his possible destinations this summer.

Despite winning the FA Cup – their first major trophy – and qualifying for the Europa League, there are rumours circling that Crystal Palace may be open to selling some of their biggest stars in order to overhaul the squad and build depth for next season.
If that is the case, there is every chance their best defender and captain Marc Guehi could finally be on his way out of Selhurst Park this summer. The England defender was the subject of numerous bids from Newcastle last summer but, following another exceptional season, the Magpies may have more competition for his signature this time.
Guehi has just one year remaining on his current Palace contract and given that his stock so high it may be the perfect time for the Eagles to cash in on their skipper. We take a look at his potential suitors below.

Where will Marc Guehi be after the summer transfer window?
Although Newcastle bid four times for Guehi last summer, seeing a final offer of £65 million rejected by Palace in mid-August, they are no longer leading the way for his signature, despite having been even-money shots to land the England star in November.
Liverpool are the odds-on favourites to sign Guehi. Ibrahima Konate has had some injury problems over the years and Virgil van Dijk is now 33, meaning the Reds could make a move for the Palace captain, who is still only 24, as they look to build towards the future.
The champions will have no issue matching whatever the Eagles' asking price proves to be, having recently selling academy graduate Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen for £30 million, and it is easy to see why they are favourites to sign Guehi.
Marc Guehi – club after summer transfer window
Club | Best odds | |
---|---|---|
Liverpool | 4-7 | The Reds are selling Jarell Quansah and may see Guehi as the perfect partner for Virgil van Dijk |
Newcastle | 4-1 | The Magpies wanted Guehi last summer and could resume their pursuit |
Tottenham | 12-1 | Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven have injury issues and Thomas Frank may want defensive reinforcements |
Chelsea | 12-1 | Guehi is a Chelsea academy product and he could be open to a return |
Arsenal | 22-1 | Mikel Arteta needs cover for William Saliba and Gabriel, although the Palace star is arguably too good to be a backup |
Barcelona | 25-1 | Barca could do with a long-term partner for Pau Cubarsi and Guehi could be that man |

Outside bets to be Marc Guehi's next club
Tottenham's conceded 65 goals last season, the fifth-worst defensive record in the Premier League, so it is no surprise to see them linked with numerous centre-backs, including Guehi. They have just signed Japanese international Toka Katai, though, so it seems unlikely they will splash more cash on another defender.
Chelsea are also interesting outsiders as Stamford Bridge is where Guehi started his career, but Barcelona are probably the most in-need of a centre-back of the outsiders in the market. Hansi Flick needsto find a permanent long-term partner for Pau Cubarsi soon as Inigo Martinez is now 34, and they are a club to keep an eye on if the England defender wishes to move abroad.
Our verdict
Liverpool are supposedly in talks with Guehi at current. However, a price of 4-7 is not worth taking when so much could make the deal fall through.
Guehi is 4-1 to remain at Palace and captain them during their first European campaign and that is an attractive price. He is a fans' favourite and a vital part of Oliver Glasner's 3-4-2-1 system. The Eagles may be unwilling to let him run down the final year of his contract but, with their ownership in transition, they could try to tempt him with a bumper new deal should he stay.
Market movers
Liverpool have shortened substantially throughout the season, going from 9-2 in November to 4-7 at the start of this week. As a result of the Reds' interest, Newcastle, who were evens at the end of 2024 have been pushed out to 4-1, despite their continuous pursuit of the Palace captain.
